The “Puente Bicentenario” is a suspended bridge to be built in Chile. The designed bridge's length is 2635m, and it consist of three concrete towers; two of them are 179.6 m high and the southern one reaches an height of 160.77m. The length of the bridge is divided into two main spans of 1055m and 1100m length, and a suspended side span of 380m, providing a minimum vertical clearance for navigation of 59 m. Have been performed different types of analyses in order to investigate the dynamic behavior of the bridge and the action induced by the earthquake, leading to a local strengthening of the structure to improve its performance.
